Garmin Navigation on your Laptop

Garmin has recently announced their Garmin Mobile PC application, a navigation package that can turn your laptop into a powerful GPS.

If you have a laptop and don't want to spend dough on a GPS device for your vehicle, then the Garmin Mobile PC is an inexpensive alternative. If you're already familiar with Garmin's devices, the Garmin Mobile PC has the same interface found on the Garmin Nuvi and Garmin StreetPilot GPS devices. If you already have a GPS receiver, you can get the software only package of the Garmin Mobile PC or if you don't have one yet you can get the software plus the GPS 20x with USB connection.

The Garmin Mobile PC will be available in April and the software only bundle will cost $59.99 while the software plus USB GPS sensor will cost $99.99.
