Lab Tested Resveratrol

A word from our sponsors:

Barbara Walters will be interviewing Dr. David Sinclair on “living to 150”. In the interview, Dr. Sinclair will talk about their resvertrol formulation.

Resveratrol is a phytonutrient that can be found in grapes and other plants. Numerous studies have shown that resveratrol can potentially prevent or slow down some diseases such as Cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. The latest study that I’ve com across is a research conducted by scientists at the University of Kansas and presented at the Society for Neuroscience conference. The researchers’ study suggest that resveratrol and other phytonutrients commonly found in grapes may protect against the onset of Alzheimer’s disease and is beneficial for the health of the brain and protect against other neurodegenerative diseases.

On the other hand, the study conducted by David Sinclair shows that resveratrol has increased the lifespan of obese mice and that it prevented most side effects caused by high calorie diets. Since numerous studies have shown the potential of resveratrol, RevGenetics has extracted this potent molecule and put it on capsules and also made herbal powder so that others could take advantage of its potential. The company also offers a money-back guarantee on their U.S. Lab Tested Resveratrol.

XtremeMac Tango Studio Speakers Review

iPod speakers is a must-have gadget for those who can't live without their iPods. Whether you’re an audiophile or just a casual music listener, there are a variety of iPod speakers out in the market that would suit your needs and the XtremeMac Tango Studio iPod speakers is one of them.

Design

Because iPod owners are naturally stylish, it’s important that their iPod speakers would scream style. The XtremeMac Tango Studio scores a point for design. Though its style is minimalist the black rectangle with blue digital clock screams simple but chic. I could definitely see the XtremeMac Tango Studio Speakers matching any décor whether it’s a bachelor pad or a college dorm room.

Advantages

At just $60 (from most major online stores), the XtremeMac Tango Studio speakers is a budget speaker so don’t expect any fancy features. You’ll find a retractable iPod dock, built-in FM radio, auxiliary jack, and a wireless remote. The XtremeMac Tango Studio speakers would fit any iPod and it even works with the iPhone if you put the iPhone in airplane mode.

The audio quality of the XtremeMac Tango Studio speakers is what you can expect from iPod speakers at this price range. It’s nothing to wow about as it lacks bass but it’s good enough to use on your night stand, office cubicle or dorm room if you just want something playing on the background.

Disadvantages

Though the XtremeMac Tango Studio Speakers is just $60, I was still expecting it to have an alarm clock function. I guess it was the blue LED digital clock on its front that made me expect that it might have an alarm clock function. The XtremeMac Tango Studio Speakers also lacks a radio preset. You have to manually surf through the FM channels using your remote so if you’re a bit lazy surfing then you better pick out a favorite radio station if you still haven’t done so.

Conclusion

Though it lacks the alarm clock function and radio presets, the $60 price plus the sleek design makes the XtremeMac Tango Studio speakers one of the better iPod Speakers at this price range.

Windows cannot detect my Flash Drive / USB drive

Since floppy disks have become obsolete, most of us nowadays are using Flash Drives or USB drives to save files. Not only are they handy but are also capable of storing huge amount of files. However, there are times that when you plug in your Flash drive or USB drive, Windows cannot read or detect it. Here are just some troubleshooting suggestions.

  1. The first thing you need to do is go to control panel->system->Hardware->device manager tab. Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controllers and check if your flash disk is recognized. Your Flash disk is recognized if the USB Mass Storage Device or the brand name of your flash disk appears when you collapse the arrow beside Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  2. If there’s a Question mark beside the USB Mass storage device, this means that your flash disk needs a driver or you haven’t installed the USB drivers of your mother board. Google for the compatible drivers of your USB device and install.
  3. If an X appears beside the USB Mass Storage device / brand name, it means that your device is disabled. Right click the USB Mass Storage device / brand name and select properties. Click the drop down menu on Device usage and select enable or “use this device”.
  4. If there’s an exclamation beside the USB Mass Storage device, this means that Windows had trouble installing the flash disk because it is damaged. Right click on the properties and check the device status to check the problem. Alternatively, go to the details tab and check the device instance ID and hardware IDs. You will usually see a series of numbers and letters but if you just see all zero numbers, your flash disk is definitely defective and you should return it to the store you bought it from.
  5. If everything seems to be working but you just can’t see the drive path on My Computer, check and see if other drives are using the drive letter F, G, etc. If this is the case then go to Control panel->administrative tools->Computer management. Collapse “storage” and select “Disk Management”. On the right side of the screen, search for the removable disk. Right click on the removable disk button and select “change drive letter and paths”. Press the change button and assign a drive letter which is not in use. Again, check the My Computer for the drive letters which are in use by your PC. Press okay until you return to the computer management screen.

So that’s it. That’s just my basic troubleshooting tips when your flash disk drive / USB drive is not recognized by Windows. Hope this helps.

HTC Shift Review

The HTC Shift is another Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) but this is from the Taiwanese OEM Manufacturer, HTC. When I first heard about the HTC Shift, I originally thought that it was going to be a PDA phone but when I checked the specs, I was baffled by the 7 inch screen. I thought 7 inch was a little bit too big for a PDA. When I took a closer look, it was actually a UMPC AND a PDA.

SPECIFICATIONS

The HTC shift houses a 7 inch 32k color touch screen, there’s a VGA out so you can connect it to an external monitor in case you want a bigger screen. This UMPC has two processors, one is an Intel A100 800 MHz processor for running Windows Vista and the other is a 400 MHz Qualcomm MSM7500 processor for running Windows Mobile. The HTC shift also has an integrated Intel GMA950 integrated video chipset, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 40 GB hard drive, integrated VGA web cam, fingerprint scanner, built in stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, Ethernet, Quad Band GSM, and Triband HSDPA. Since the HTC Shift is so small, the ports available are limited, you get one USB port, VGA port, SD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack, however, HTC remedied this by including a USB adapter which has 3 USB ports and the Ethernet port.

ADVANTAGES

One of the great advantages of the HTC Shift is that you’re always connected. You can take your pick; you can connect either through WiFi, Ethernet, GPRS, or HSDPA. The UMPCs from Samsung, Fujitsu, and Sony don’t have integrated HSDPA which puts one up for the HTC Shift. Another advantage is that this is a two in one device; a UMPC and a PDA, it even has separate processors and specs for both functions. The 800 MHz processor on the HTC Shift handles Vista OK but we’re talking about Vista here so don’t expect speed.

Though the HTC Shift has GSM connectivity, this is only for data so don’t expect that you can make calls but you can send SMS and have an instant access to email. Typing experience on the HTC Shift is also very good considering it is such a small device but compared with U810 you can actually do a lot of typing without feeling cramped or without your fingers taking the toll from the cramped space.
DISADVANTAGES

I really don’t get why HTC felt the need to include Windows Mobile on the HTC Shift. I think this is one of the reasons why the HTC Shift is so expensive. Though this device has Windows Mobile, it’s not the complete Windows Mobile. Some familiar programs like Pocket Internet Explorer, Office Mobile, File Explorer, and Windows Media Player mobile is missing. So what is Windows Mobile good for? Just for SMS, instant-on email, and modem for WAN connection.

Speaking of connection, the HTC Shift’s WiFi antennae is not really good at handling WiFi signals. What I mean is that the antenna is weak compared with other devices or regular laptops. There’s one to three bar difference when you’re using WiFi on the HTC Shift compared with regular laptops.

There’s also no way of downgrading the Vista to Windows XP, at least not that I know of. Also, the 1GB memory is not upgradeable.

You think since you’re running a mobile device that battery life could last a bit longer than regular laptops. After all, you’re not exactly going to be doing a lot of photo editing or other battery hungry function on the HTC Shift but battery life is only 2 hours. Also, don’t expect quiet computing since the fans on this device tend to be a little noisy.

CONCLUSION

You can’t do a lot of damage if you’re running an 800MHz processor so you’re limited to using the HTC Shift for Office applications, email, web browsing and music playback—wait, isn’t that what the ASUS EEE PC is also good for? Hmm, let’s see, which shall I pick for my basic computing needs, a $400 7 inch UMPC or a $1,499 7 inch UMPC? You get where I’m leading to?

Sure, the HTC Shift is totally cool but if you’re not exactly into hacking to make full use of the Windows Mobile side of the device and you just really need a replacement for your laptop and don’t mind that you don’t have WAN connection, I say save your money and go for the ASUS EEE PC.

Sanyo Xacti CG9

Sanyo has once again made another compact digital camera/camcorder but unlike the Xacti HD1000 and Xacti HD700, the Sanyo Xacti CG9 is not capable of recording high definition videos. What the Sanyo Xacti CG9 does offer is a 9.1 megapixel still image capability and MPEG-4 recording.

Design

Like the other Xacti line, the Sanyo Xacti CG9 is very compact and there’s not much design difference between it and the Sanyo Xacti CG65 except that maybe the former has a more roundish and a bit bulkier design. It also has a cool shiny exterior and comes in three colors, black, red and white, and just pure white (colors available in Japan).

Features

The Sanyo Xacti CG9 can record high quality MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 videos which is compatible with most systems. The MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video codec also allows 1 hour video recording on a 1GB SD card. Sanyo opted to chuck the CCD sensor that was previously on the Sanyo Xacti CG65 and opted to go with a 9.1 mega pixel CMOS sensor on the Sanyo Xacti CG9. I don’t know if that’s a good idea as CMOS sensors tend to produce lower quality and noisy images compared with CCD sensors. I’m expecting a greater battery life on the Sanyo Xacti CG9 compared with the Xacti CG65 because of the change from CCD to CMOS.

The Sanyo Xacti CG9 is also capable of recording videos at 60fps. Ever since face recognition technology has become standard on digital cameras, manufacturers have a funny way of naming these technologies. Sanyo takes the cake by naming their facial recognition technology, “face chaser”, which can recognize up to 12 faces in a still image.

The LCD screen on the Sanyo Xacti CG9 is around 2.5 inch, it also has built-in flash, 40mb internal memory, image stabilization, 5x optical zoom and loads of other features.

Pricing and Availability

The Sanyo Xacti CG9 is expected to be available in the US in April and will have a price of $279.99

2009 Kia Optima seen in New York International Auto Show

Kia has unveiled their 2009 Optima at the New York International Auto Show. The 2009 Optima is your average mid-sized sedan.

Design-wise, there's nothing really great about the 2009 Kia Optima, in fact, it reminds me of our old Mitsubishi Gallant that was stolen years ago. The 2009 Optima will come in two models. One will sport a 2.4 liter four cylinder engine and the other a 2.7 liter V6 engine. The 2009 Optima with the 2.4 liter engine can produce 174 horse power and 169 lb-ft of torque while the 2.7 liter engine is capable of 190 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

No word as to availability and pricing.

Downloading Movies on the iPOD

Now iPODs are providing us with movie players, that is where innovation has taken us. There are lots of iPOD manufacturers that are providing the customers with the video iPODs services. They are simple to use and downloaded videos can be transferred to these iPODs in just few simple steps. You just need to follow the following steps to load a video on your iPOD:

a) Hardware: Getting a proper hardware is the first basic step that you need to get started with the movie installation in the iPOD, get a proper hardware that plays good videos with proper quality of movie backup. The memory concern in the iPOD is also a matter to keep in mind. If you have an iPOD with a good memory backup then you need not worry about the number of movies that you would be storing on your iPOD. So you need to be cautious of the memory factor.

b) Format: There is a set format of movie that the iPOD may support do check the movie format support and download accordingly. A video converter might be required sometimes as the format of the movie might not be supported by your iPOD. If this is the case then the file of the movie might be corrupted so only a movie converter can handle this situation.

c) Connecting: the third step in installing or downloading a movie is to connect the iPOD through a USB cable to your computer or other transferring device. This would sync the files and transfer the movies to the iPOD.

d) Disconnection: When you are through with the movie download and the computer will allow you to disconnect the USB cable so do it and get set to watch the movie on your iPOD any time any where.

The Old Ford Fiesta

I’ve previously blogged about how Ford was going to introduce the Fiesta as Ford's new global small car. Well, even though the Ford Fiesta hasn’t reared its head in the US since decades ago, in other parts of the world, the Ford Fiesta is very common. In fact, if you check out car rental companies in Europe like Car Hire Portugal and Car Hire Germany, the Ford Fiesta is one of the cars being offered under their “Mini” car group.

Frankly, I like Ford’s Global Development Process concept wherein cars offered in Europe will be the same cars offered in the US, however, what’s the point of Global Development if other countries will see Ford’s cars first. Why not have a multiple region release like what mobile phone manufacturers are doing. Anyways, if you’re curious about what the Ford Fiesta looks like before it adopts the Ford Verve concept design, try renting one out when you’re traveling in Europe.

Windows 7 News

As every PC user knows—Vista Sucks! Yeah, sure, the graphics are okay and I LOVE the sidebar but aesthetics aside, I’d chuck my copy of Vista in a heartbeat if the store I bought my laptop from allows me to change from Vista to XP, but sadly, I can’t. The good news is, Microsoft probably realized their blunder and is already working on another replacement for Vista which is known as Windows 7.

The development for Windows 7 is around three years so don’t expect Vista to be gone soon. However, if you like to take a peek about what Microsoft has in store for Windows 7, visit windows7news.com for the latest Windows 7 news and updates. Maybe if you see something you don’t like, you can drop Microsoft a line and give them your two cents.

How to play games on your ASUS EEE PC without taking up hard disk space

The Asus EEE PC is the most revolutionary laptop ever been introduced. A few weeks after it was released and already it was sold out. Of course, the main disadvantage of this low-cost laptop is that it doesn't have enough hard disk space. This would make it harder to install games on your Asus EEE PC. Thankfully, that's what free Online Games are for.

Online-Games-Zone.com is a website where you can play free online games. This website has a variety of casual games you can play and you won't have to install anything on your laptop since all of their games are browser-based. All you need is a web browser and an Internet which the ASUS EEE PC has. This website has a Card Games section for the very casual gamers and an Action Games section for who likes a bit of action. The best part is of course—they're all FREE!

Internet Parental Controls

The Internet could be a very useful tool for your child's studies but if you leave them unsupervised, the Internet could very well lead them astray. There are thousands of hate websites and porn websites on the net and your child could accidentally stumble upon any one of these sites. The TV was similarly situated decades ago that's why TV manufacturers have set up parental controls. Now software like Net Nanny and Iambigbrother, can help you add Parental Controls on your child's computer.

The Net Nanny software can filter out any harmful websites that your child might visit by blocking IP addresses. The good thing about Net Nanny is that you can also choose which sites your child can visit. The Iambigbrother software is like a good “spyware”. You can capture keystrokes on the PC and monitor who your child has been chatting with, saving them from potential predators lurking in Internet chatrooms. The iambigbrother software is unobtrusive and is hard to detect.

Ultimate Protection for your Laptop

A notebook or laptop is probably one of the coolest gadget ever invented. I know a lot of people whose laptops are almost like a part of their body. Naturally, good laptops needs a great laptop bag to be carried around with. Here are just two of my favorite laptop bags / sleeves.

If you're ultra paranoid that your laptop would be in danger of fire or water then get this HardBody Pro Laptop Case. This is the ultimate case out of all laptop shoulder bags. Not only is your laptop fire, water, and shock resistant thanks to its xEVA shell, it also has a stylish ballistix nylon finish.

And if you still think that's not enough, put your laptop inside one of Ballistix's laptop sleeves. The ballistic nylon on Ballistix's laptop sleeves was originally developed to protect soldiers from shrapnel and any flying debris caused by bullets and artillery.

Now if that's not protection, I don't know what is!

Traveler's Websites

If you're a frequent traveler you need to have a lot of resources handy so that you can save whenever you travel. Here are just two websites that might help you build those resources:

Cfares.com

Cfares.com is a website that can help you find cheap flights. While some online travel websites help you book tickets, that doesn't mean that the flight they have booked you in is the cheapest flight Travel fares depend from airline to airline and also whether you're traveling direct or not. Cfares can connect you to the lowest fares directly from airlines, major travel sites or industry wholesalers and offer you exclusive, below-market fares. Cfares also enables you to bid for your airfare so that you can always stay within your budget.

Fodors.com

Saving on your trip doesn't just stop at the airline ticket counter. You can also save on your hotel and restaurant bills. Fodors.com is a website that can help you plan your trip. You can find the best or cheapest or a little bit of both in hotels, restaurants, or cruises from those who have experienced it first hand. Get the latest news and reviews of restaurants and hotels from Fodor's correspondents.

Acer Aspire 6920

After their success(??) with their Gemstone series Acer has unveiled another concept notebook, the Gemstone Blue or Acer Aspire 6920 line. The new Acer Aspire 6920 line is a High Definition notebook packed with multimedia features.

Design

Unlike their previous Gemstone line, Acer did away with the white and packed the Acer Aspire 6920 with a black, blue, and silver finish. Another new design feature on the Acer Aspire 6920 that is not available on other notebooks is the CineDash media console.

The CineDash media console on the Acer Aspire 6920 is a touch-sensitive interface that enables you to access the entertainment features of this notebook in seconds; you can browse the menus, adjust volume, etc.

Features

The Acer Aspire 6920 will be powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors and mobile Intel MP965 Express Chipset. Another thing that is different about this notebook is that it is th first notebook to feature a 16 inch screen. The 16 inch screen is necessary to make use of either the Full HD CineCrystal LCD panel with 1920 x 1080 or 1366 x 768 resolution. The screen has 8ms response time and a native 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The Acer Aspire 6920 also has the latest NVIDIA GeForce 9500m GS graphics card with up to 1280MB TurboCache, NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology, Shader Model 4.0 and Microsft DirectX 10.

And of course, the Acer Aspire 6920 wouldn't be a High Definition Notebook without an HDMI port and HDCP support. The Acer Aspire 6920 isn't only made for the eyes, it caters to the audiophiles as well. This Aspire Gemstone blue line has an integrated Dolby Homte Theater technology with CineSurround, Tuba CineBass booster, and True 5.1 output which you can set up by plugging three pairs of PC speakers. This would make the Acer Aspire 6920 a true portable home theater system.
Other features of the Acer Aspire 6920 includes 320GB hard disk drive, optional Blu-ray disc drive, 6-in-1 card reader, and integrated TV Tuner (selected models).

Conclusion

I'm often not that impressed when Acer releases a notebook, either because another notebook manufacturer already did what they did or what they're offering isn't something to talk about. The Acer Aspire 6920 on the other hand is something else and I almost did a double to make sure that it was indeed Acer's logo on this beautiful notebook. I'm pretty sure that the Acer Aspire 6920 will be one of the coveted notebooks when it does come out.

GPS holder

A word from our sponsors:

The things they can do with a cup holder!

The trouble with having a portable GPS unit is that you’re limited to just placing it on your windshield and your dashboard. Now while this is the most common place to put your GPS unit, all the wires that goes from the unit to the car charger is a mess. Plus let’s not forget the spots that the suction cup leaves when you eventually transfer your GPS unit from one car to another. Also, if you’re in a State that doesn’t allow GPS units to be placed on windshield or dash, you’re limited to placing your unit somewhere where it isn’t very convenient. So what’s the solution? GPS Pal of course.

Advantages:

  1. Let’s you place your GPS unit on the cup holder of your car
  2. Conveniently holds the wires and cords of your GPS unit
  3. No obstruction on your windshield
  4. Protects your GPS unit from direct sunlight since it won’t be left on the windshield
  5. Convenient and allows you to transfer your GPS unit from one vehicle to another
  6. Doubles as an ACTUAL cup holder
  7. No more messy dashmounts

Disadvantages:

  1. Doesn’t fit all car cup holders
  2. Very expensive for a cup holder

Nokia N96 Quick Review

The Nokia N96 and several other Nokia Mobile Phones was introduced at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We also got a glimpse of several other mobile phones from different manufacturers but today, we’re going to take a look at the Nokia N96.

Design

The Nokia N96 combines the looks and design of the Nokia N80 and Nokia N95. The Nokia N96 got its face from the Nokia N80 while its dual slider function it got from the Nokia N95. This mobile phone is heavier and larger than the Nokia N95 which may be a good thing for some because it ha a more solid feel to it when held.

Features

One great improvement of the Nokia N96 over the previous N95 version is that it has a 16GB of internal memory PLUS an expandable microSD slot! That was my complaint about the previous N95 standard and 8GB model; you either have to choose whether you want a fixed internal memory or a removable one. With the Nokia N96, you won’t have to choose, you have the best of both worlds. Another added feature is an integrated DVB-H receiver so you can watch Live TV.

The Nokia N96 gives users a more enjoyable viewing experience. The 2.8 inch screen is large enough to watch high quality videos and the Nokia N96 can playback these videos at 30fps. What’s more, if you get tired of holding the Nokia N96 while watching videos or TV, you can place it upright on a table using the built-in kickstand at the back of the device.

Other features of the Nokia N96 are just carried over from the Nokia N95 like the HSDPA, WiFi, 5 mega pixel camera with flash, GPS, Bluetooth, FM radio, etc.

Conclusion

There’s no doubt that the Nokia N96 is very much an improvement of the Nokia N95. Nokia has enough time (more than one year) to fix the bugs and issues of the Nokia N95 and carry it over on the Nokia N96. Let’s just hope that with the added Live TV feature, Nokia has had enough sense to make battery life longer.

Imation's Solid State Drives now available

First of all, would you really pay $700-$1200 for a 32GB solid state drive just so you can get that extra 1-2 second faster start up time?! If you are willing to spend that much dough well then feel free to buy Imation’s Solid State drives since it is now available. Imation’s SSD is available in the MOBI 3000 model which is capable of read speeds up to 100MB per second, write speeds of 80MB per second and random access time of .1ms while the Imation SSD Pro 7000 has maximum read speeds of 120MB per second, write speeds of 90MB per second, and random access time of less than .1ms.

As for me, this is just too rich for my taste. I’m content with the idea that I’m wasting a few seconds on my life for sticking with my ordinary hard drive.

Nintendo Announces Super Smash Bros. for the Wii

If you own a Wii, gameboy and DS, chances are you’re a Nintendo fan. If you are, then here’s the ultimate game for you: the Super Smash Bros. for the Wii. People who’ve been playing Nintendo all their life are probably familiar with some of their characters; most famous are probably Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda.

The Super Smash Bros. game features all of the characters of Nintendo’s games who are pitted against each other. Kinda like Tekken taken to the extreme cuteness.

No word yet as to the availability of this game.

Online Skateboard Store

A word from our sponsors:

WarehouseSkateboards.com is another niche online store that sells skateboards. The website has a pretty cool design. It’s simple but oozing with attitude, something you’d expect from an online skateboard store. They have hundreds of skateboard brands including Sector 9 skateboards. What’s great about this site is that if you don’t find the right skateboard for you, you can always build one. They have an easy build-your-own-skateboard page wherein you can just select your deck, trucks, wheels, bearings, hardware and grip tape. You can also find different parts for your boards as well as skateboarding gear. This is definitely your one-stop skateboard shop.

How to hard reset your Dopod 818 Pro, Qtek S200, i-Mate JAMin, etc.

What is a hard reset? A hard reset involves reformatting your windows mobile device and restoring the default settings. A hard reset is usually done when your device becomes unresponsive or correct a software issue that cannot be corrected with an ordinary soft reset.

The following methods of doing a hard reset is applicable to the following windows mobile device: Dopod 818Pro, Qtek S200, Dopod 830, O2 XDA Neo, i-mate JAMin, Orange SPV M600, Vodafone VPA Compact S, and TC 500.

First Method:

1.Press Start->settings-> Clear Storage
2.Enter 1234 and then press yes
3.You're done

The first method is the simplest but of course, once your device cannot get pass the welcome screen, it would probably be difficult to do the first method so there's a second method that involves pressing some hardware buttons

Second Method:

1.On the right side of the device, press the camera and the communication buttons
2.Without releasing the previous button, use your stylus to press the hole at the bottom of the device
3.Release the stylus but keep your hold on the cam and comm buttons
4.A message will appear saying press send. Press the green call button and then release your hold on the cam and comm buttons
5.When a message is displayed stating that the device is being formatted, release the call button
6.You are now finished doing a hard reset

After doing a hard reset, the welcome screen would probably take a long time before you're taken to the configuration screen so don't worry. However, if thirty minutes have passed and you're still on the welcome screen, it's time to take your device to your wireless carrier or the store you bought it from to have it fixed.

The Technique for a New Earth

Another word from our sponsors:

In one of my blog posts, I’ve discussed about The Sedona Method. The Sedona Method is a self-help technique developed by Lester Levenson. This technique helps you examine your emotions and then letting your emotions free the moment you feel them. In Eckhart Tolle’s book A New Earth; Awaking to Your Life’s True Purpose, Hale Dowskin, author of the Sedona Method said that the book closely reflects and agrees with what they have been doing with the Sedona Method for 30 years. The Sedona Method involves four basic ways of letting go of your emotions. When you bring the presence of awareness of your true self into the foreground of your consciousness, you ca help change the mass consciousness of planet earth and thereby bring a new earth.

The Sedona Method has been around since the 1970s and it has been continually helping people be happy around the world. Dwoskin’s book, The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-Being is a New York Times bestseller and has been sold in 15 countries and translated into many languages.

To find out what the Sedona Method is all about, you can sign up for their newsletter and you can get a free DVD, CD and MP3 gifts just by signing up. They also offer a 180 Money back guarantee when you order their Sedona Method Course.

Fantasy Baseball Software

A brief word from our sponsors:

Yep, everything nowadays is down to an exact Science and computerized. Good ol’ board games can now be played on computers and now even games based on imagination has taken an even geekier turn. I’m talking about fantasy baseball software.

Those who are into playing fantasy baseball know how hard it is to draft players since it is mostly based on statistics. Sports Prophet’s software uses an advanced predictive modeling analysis. This technology takes into account such factors as draft strategies and player selections by competitor teams and then provides subscribers with the best picks for the given round and situation. What’s great about this software is that it can be access through the web so it’s available to you anywhere where there’s an internet connection. The player rankings are based on predictive modeling by PhD scientists and the software is automatically updated of major updates such as player stats and injury reports.

For some, winning fantasy baseball games does not only involve winning huge amounts of cash but also bragging rights. So if you want to up your ante in the fantasy baseball game, you should definitely give this software a go. You can get $10 off when buying Sports Prophet’s fantasy baseball software by using the promo code: BMC200.

A brief word from our sponsors:

www.ShrinkYourself.com is an online weight loss program that would help you know the underlying factors on why you eat rather than focusing on diets or calorie intake. Vigor's Colossus

The Colossus is the latest high end desktop from Vigor and is the most powerful gaming desktop offered by the company. So what makes this desktop so powerful? How about the two Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9775 quad-core processors—that’s right, TWO! Do the math and you have eight core processors running at 3.2GHz speed on the Vigor Colossus! Whew! Why the need for that much processing power? Well, the Vigor Colossus can support up to FOUR graphics card. These graphic cards will allow gamers to run up to two XHD (2560 x 1600) monitors.

As if eight core processors isn’t enough for you, how about 8GB of DDR2 memory with 800MHz speed? Dude, wipe that drool off your face, there’s more. With 8 processors, 8GB DDR2 memory and four graphics card, of course there’s a tendency for the Vigor Colossus to overheat, however, the exclusive Twin-Peaks Cooling system will allow the Colossus to run at full speed.

So how much will the Vigor Colossus set you back? How about $6,799, and that’s just for the basic configuration which includes: 4GB DDR2 memory, 2 Terabytes hard disk drive, and two NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT graphics card. The full configuration of the Vigor Colossus will set you back a whopping $8,100! For that price you will get Western Digital Raptor 150 Hard Drives, two AMD Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics cards, 8GB of fully-buffered DDR2 800 memory, high-fidelity audio by Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi, plus other components. Let’s just hope that for paying that much money they included a Blu-ray optical drive. The basic configuration of the Vigor Colossus only includes a DVD +/- RW optical drive and you have to add around $800 more for a Sony Blu-ray optical drive.

E-Florists Inc.

Flowers are the perfect gift to brighten anyone’s day. Last Valentine’s Day, millions of flowers were probably sent around the world. Some would refer to flowers as blossoms but technically, they’re different. Blossom refer to the flowers of stone trees while flowers are a general term to describe the blooms in plants. But either way, they both make great gifts.

E-Florist is another website that sells flowers. Like most online flower shop stores, their flowers are categorized either by occasion, kinds of flowers or by price.

Website Design

E-Florists design is very simple and uncluttered. Every product is depicted by a picture so that you’ll know exactly what you’re buying. The pictures doesn’t seem to be photoshopped and I like the fact that they included the background rather than cutting the flowers out and placing it in a white background. This makes the arrangement look more natural and real, like you’re actually going to get the real thing.

Navigation

The pictures of their flowers are neatly lined up and navigating through the site is easy as everything is categorized or you can easily search for the product you’re looking for if you have something specific in mind. Also, considering that every product has a picture, page load times is actually pretty fast. When you click on a picture you will be immediately taken to the item page where you can select your delivery date and add additional options such as balloons, chocolates, teddy bear or vase. I guess my only problem with this site is that their additional options are not quite pictured so you have no way of knowing what the teddy bear or vase will look like. I also have no idea what they mean by their upgrade feature as it is not adequately described.

Payment and Pricing

E-Florists’ prices are competitive with other online flower store. You can pay via credit card and their online payment processing uses secured SSL and is verified by Equifax Secure, Inc.

Bike that can charge your gadgets

Though way more modern than the nice beach bike over at CruiserStyle.com:

this ultra compact bike can charge your gadgets while you pedal. Talk about something you see on the Flinstones coming to life! This is the Everglide bike and it is the ultimate bike for those eco-friendly persons who loves the outdoors. The green thingy protruding out of the bike seat is actually a backpack. You can fold the Everglide bike and carry it with you whereever you go. And did I mention that this bike is ultra portable?

This is the perfect bike for first time hikers. If they ever get tired of walking, just snap the bike into place and it can double as a cargo holder. And the best thing about this bike aside from its eco-friendly and portable? It can actually charge your gadgets! While you're pedaling away, the frictionless magnetic dynamo on the Everglide can recharge your MP3 player, cell phone, GPS, etc. Though I don't know if you can recharge a laptop. You probably have to pedal for life if you ever have to recharge your laptop.

Beds and Mattresses Online Store

And here we have another niche shopping site: Time4Sleep.co.uk. While most online furniture stores have a section for their Beds and mattresses, Time4Sleep doesn’t need a beds and mattresses section because every item they sell are beds and mattresses. I’ve always liked the whole niche marketing concept, after all, with the world wide web so vast, people are looking to niche markets to find EXACTLY what they’re looking for.

Time4Sleep has a very simple design and like I’ve said, there’s really no need for categories since all they have are beds but they have made searching for your perfect bed easier. Instead of browsing through their items one by one, you can easily narrow down your choice by materials used like: leather, wooden, or metal beds. You can also search for your beds by style like French or antique style beds. And if you really want to be specific, you can use the site’s Quick Search, just input the bed type, size, color, and your budget and press search. You can easily cut your shopping time using their quick search feature. Their prices are also competitive with other online furniture store and they also offer free shipping. There’s also a useful section where they provide you with tips if you have sleeping problems.

Self Cleaning Car Coating

Tired of taking your car to the car wash? Here's a new one, a self cleaning car. Thanks to advances in nanotechnology, Nanovere Technologies was able to develop an automobile coating called Zyvere Nanocoatings that is permanent, self-cleaning and car key resistant.

Sounds like a great infomercial but of course, we have to see it to believe it but I guess it's not at all that possible. With nanotechnology researchers are close to making invisible cloaks, and bullet proof plastics.

Sales Training

Avand.co.uk is a website that offers a variety of training courses, from plumbing, management, to Sales Courses.

Let’s face it, not everyone is endowed with natural charisma and sales talent which you can use to sell just about anything to anyone. Being a salesman is a tough job. In most cases, you’re treated like a plague. If you’re a door to door salesman, chances are you’ve seen too many doors slammed at your face and if you’re a telemarketer, you’ve had more chances of talking to a busy signal than to an actual customer. So what’s a guy to do to earn a living? Well, if you don’t have natural talent, the next best thing to do is to learn it.

Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft has a web browser?!!! Wow, it has been so long since I used Internet Explorer, I thought it was already defunct like Netscape. Okay, okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating but I think I've learned my lesson when I tried Internet Explorer 7. They promised the same thing for IE7, faster browsing, etc, etc., well the only thing I liked about IE7 was that it has tabbed browsing but other than that, I can't really wait for my blog to load 5 minutes on IE. So am I going to try out IE 8? I think I'll just leave this for the testers and unless I get a raving review that it's better than firefox, then I'll just stick with the latter, thank you very much.
