HP Blackbird 002: The Ultimate Gamers PC

There's only a handful of branded gaming PCs out in the market. Usually, gamers have to custom built their PC or look for a branded clone with the specifications they need. HP hopes to push innovation in the desktop PC industry by introducing the HP Blackbird 002, a gaming PC designed by gamers.

Design

The HP Blackbird 002 has a love it or hate it design, depending on your perspective. The Blackbird CPU is set on a single cast aluminum foot that can support up to 600 pounds, making the Blackbird 002 look like it's hovering in mid-air, and while most CPU chassis is made of plastic, the Blackbird 002 has a cast aluminum chassis that is significantly sturdier and more lightweight. Since the Blackbird 002's chassis is made from aluminum, it can withstand corrosion and is non-magnetic, making sure that it can withstand almost anything. The HP Blackbird 002's hover design is useful for airflow. The elevated case pushes air through the bottom side vents that allows airflow, cooling the PC's interior. Another feature of the Blackbird 002's design is that instead of unscrewing bolts and sliding the side panels to open the case, you only have to pull a latch and the side panel will swing open on its hinges.

Specifications and features

The HP Blackbird 002 is fully customizable and thus has no specific specifications, HP lets users choose from a set of configurations so that they can have control over what they truly need. Users can choose between an Athlon AMD X2 6000 3.0 Ghz processor, Intel Core2 Duo, or Intel Core2 Extreme processors, choice of graphic cards range from NVIDIA GeForce or ATI Radeon,

The World's First Wireless SD Card for Digital Cameras

First off, I don't know where Eye-Fi got the idea that their product is the first Wireless SD card. Sandisk has released a wi-fi sd card years ago when WiFi wasn't a must-have on PDAs. The headline of the Eye-Fi's press release read, "EYE-FI UNVEILS WORLD’S FIRST WIRELESS MEMORY CARD", now that is misleading. Now, if they append "for digital cameras", that would put a semblance of truth to their statement. Sandisk's WiFi card wasn't exactly built for digital cameras, it had an antenna so it protruded when inserted unto a PDA. But I guess Eye-Fi and Sandisk's memory cards are two different things. Sandisk's wifi memory card was really a wifi adapter for PDAs while the Eye-fi memory card...well, it's for those people who're too lazy to do all the transferring from their digital cameras to PC and then to a social networking site.

Eye-Fi's 2GB wifi memory card is priced at $99.99. A new 2GB SD card only cost less than $20, so if you think that paying $80 more is worth it so that you don't have to waste precious energy transferring your photos, then by all means, go get one.

Saturday Nights in St. Augustine

If ever you’re in Florida, be sure to visit St. Augustine during the last Saturday of every month. St. Augustine is dubbed as the Nation’s Oldest City and here you can find the best antique stores. Although I’m a tech geek, antiques never fail to capture my attention; after all these antiques may be “gadgets” during their days. So why are the last Saturdays of every month special in St. Augustine? Well, during those days there are different Events in St. Augustine that you might want to take part in.

One of these events is the Uptown Saturday Night that takes place from 5pm to 9pm in the Uptown San Marco Shopping District. During these times, different shops stay open and there are books signings, live music, free refreshments, as well as other events to contribute to the festivities.

These Saturdays of October and November (October 27th and November 24th), the focus is on antique shops. The Antique District can be found along San Marco Avenue and you can shop for different antiques such as rare books and even Spanish Treasure as well as join in the festivities. Other events that will take place during these dates are; workshops on antique related topics, books signings, and art exhibits that features the work of Florida’s artists.

So if ever you’re in the neighborhood during these dates, be sure to drop by and have fun.

Samsung YP-P2

Before the iPod touch and the Zune 80GB, there was the Samsung YP-P2. The Samsung YP-P2 is Samsung's first MP3 widescreen video player launched just after the iPhone, hence the similar looking design. The Samsung YP-P2 sports a 3 inch 16 x 9 widescreen LCD and supports video, music and photo playback. The Samsung YP-P2 comes in three colors; Black, Burgundy, and White and comes in 4 GB (YP-P2JAB) and 8 GB (YP-P2JCB) models.

The most notable feature of the Samsung YP-P2 is its touch screen interface. Released just after the iPhone hype, the Samsung YP-P2 mimics the iPhone's touch screen interface with their own EmoTrue interface wherein users can just swipe their fingers across the screen to forward, rewind or skip tracks or videos. However, Samsung's EmoTrue interface isn't quite like the iPhone. You're limited to the swiping motion when forwarding tracks but when it comes to the other functions like viewing photos, you actually have to press the screen and a couple of hardware buttons. Touch interface is only subpar compared with the iPhone.

The Samsung YP-P2 video MP3 players can playback MPEG4 or WMV9 videos in 16:9 widescreen format and produces stunningly clear and bright images thanks to the 3 inch display with OLED backlight. Samsung included their Samsung Multimedia Software with the Samsung YP-P2 so you can transcode your videos on your PC before transferring them to your Samsung YP-P2. Transcoding videos will ensure that your videos are played smoothly on the Samsung YP-P2 using the optimum settings, unencoded videos will result in buffering and slow video playback. The Samsung YP-P2 can playback videos at 30 frames per second, almost twice the average of other MP4 players.

Nokia N81 standard and 8GB version to start shipping

Okay, only a week after the FCC approved the Nokia N81 8GB, Nokia announced that it would soon be shipping the Nokia N81 8GB and that standard Nokia N81 globally. The Nokia N81 is a music phone and the only difference between the two phones is...like what the name says, the other one has an 8GB internal memory capacity. But aside from that difference, there's really no major difference. Both phones are 3G capable, has a 2 mega pixel camera, 2.4 inch display, and weighs around 86 cc.

Imaging features of the Nokia N81 aside from the 2 mega pixel camera includes video capture of up to 15fps, digital zoom up to 20x, and integrated flash. The Nokia N81 supports MP3 (VBR), AAC, eAAC+, AAC+, WMA/M4A, and WAV file formats and is compatible with Bluetooth A2DP profile.

The Nokia N81 will have a price of 360 Euros while the N81 8GB will have a retail price of 430 Euros, both before taxes and subsidies.

Some benefits of owning a credit card

While some people would shy away from credit cards because they feel that in the long run it would only bury them in debt, credit cards can actually be useful if you manage your finances wisely. Just because it is called a credit card, it doesn’t mean that you actually have to be in debt with the credit card company, there are actually some perks and benefits from owning a credit card.

There are some credit cards with cash back options, meaning for every penny you spent a certain percentage will be returned in the form of cash backs. You can actually use your credit card’s cash back options to save you money while shopping by just paying with your credit card instead of cash so instead of paying for the regular price when you use cash, you actually get a discount with your credit card’s cash back. If you’re worried about being in debt, then just pay your credit card bill with your cash the next day. No interest, you get savings instead.

Some credit cards also offer low interest rates for balance transfers. If you own two credit cards and you don't have enough cash to pay for your gadgets or consumer electronics, then instead opting for the store's financing terms, you can just charge the whole amount and transfer the balance on your other credit card. You can actually save on interest payments by doing this.

So you see, credit cards aren't really THAT evil. When used wisely, it can actually make your life a lot easier.

The Nokia N810 Tablet

So, Nokia is releasing another tablet to follow the Nokia N800, this newest device is the Nokia N810 Tablet. The Nokia N810 Tablet is somewhat similar to its predecessor except for the added a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Nokia also packed the N810 with loads of new features including built-in GPS.

The Nokia N810 is powered by maemo Linux based OS2008, also, forget the Safari Browser and the iPhone, the Nokia N810 has a Mozilla based browser! In laymen’s terms, it simply means that with the Nokia N810, you an experience “true Web 2.0” thanks to the embedded Ajax and Adobe Flash 9. Screen size of the Nokia N810 measures 4.13 inch and has an 800 x 480 resolution. The Nokia N810 also has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Nokia N810 Tablet will be available starting shipping on November 4 with an estimated retail price of $479 excluding taxes. I don't know about you but I don't think this will beat the HTC Shift.

Samsung Juke a.k.a. SCH-U470 is here

The Samsung Juke (SCH-U470) is the latest mobile phone from Samsung which they are marketing to be a music player first and THEN a mobile phone—seems that way from their press release. The Samsung Juke is a 2GB music player with an innovative design, just flick your thumb and the SCH-U470's display swivels to reveal the phone pad. I must admit, Samsung has been churning out mobile phones that shy away from candy bar designs that Nokia is always offering, which is a good thing. The Samsung Juke is another innovative design from Samsung, something that follows in the step of the B'Phone. The Samsung Juke (SCH-U470) has all the necessary S's...Sleek, Slim, Stylish, and...Swivels.

The Samsung Juke supports .mp3, .wma, .aac and .aac+ music file formats. The downside of the Samsung SCH-U470 is probably its lack of a high mega pixel camera. The Samsung Juke's camera is only 1.3 mega pixels and the display size is a mere 1 inch, not really great for viewing videos or photos. The Samsung Juke will be available in three colors, red, teal and navy blue. The Samsung Juke (SCH-U470) will be available in Verizon Wireless stores for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The Joys of Indie Horror Films

What I really like most about Independent Films is the lack of pretty actors who just looks good on the big screen but can’t act to save their life. That’s the beauty of independent films; you don’t have enough budget to get those “talented” Hollywood stars so you’re stuck with convincing your neighborhood to act for you. And if you’re into a good scare, don’t go for those big budget remakes of Asian horror films, there are a lot of good Indie Horror Films that will put big budget horror films to shame.

The thing about Independent Horror films is that what the film producers lack in budget, the directors makes up with high imagination. Hollywood Horror films nowadays are not designed to scare, their plots are so common and overused that you and your friends will have more fun playing “what cliché the producers would be using as ending” rather than watching the film itself.

Indie Horror Films are a breath of fresh air. The films actually have a plot and you can expect zero to minimal neo-grindhouse movement; just suspense-filled scenes that would keep you at the edge of your seat and would make you sleep with the lights on for two weeks.

Opera Mini Beta 2: The Safari Browser for Your Pocket PC

I've mentioned a few months ago about Opera Mini Beta which is like a full-fledged web browser for your mobile phone, well, they have now released, Opera Mini Beta 2 and this 2nd version works like a charm on my Pocket PC...Closest thing I'll ever have to a Safari Browser on the Pocket PC---unless Apple already released a compatible version for Windows Mobile which I don't know about (highly unlikely).

The Opera Mini Beta 2 works flawlessly using my Pocket PC's Midlet Manager. There's no more hanging issues. I haven't thoroughly used Opera Mini Beta 2 to know of any glitches on my Pocket PC, but so far so good. You should really try this new version. Download it at: http://mini.opera.com/beta

Panasonic Toughbook CF-52

Panasonic has been renowned for its Toughbook series of notebooks; those notebooks that can withstand dropping from several feet up and can take any spillage. Now, the company has introduced another new notebook to complete their Toughbook lineup, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-52.

Panasonic is marketing their Toughbook CF-52 to be a desktop replacement notebook but with a form factor that is designed for mobility. From the outside, this notebook looks like a suitcase, from the hinges to the handles, the Toughbook CF-52 is made of magnesium alloy and comes with a shock-mounted 15.4 inch screen, after all, it wouldn't be a "tough book" without the anti-shock screen. According to Panasonic, the Toughbook CF-52 can withstand drops of up to 2.5 feet on all six sides while the hard drive can withstand drops of up to 3 feet, of course, users wouldn't be too keen on dropping their notebooks just to test if Panasonic's claims are true so we'll just have to take their word for it. To complete the Toughbook CF-52's rugged design, Panasonic also included a spill-resistant keyboard and a shock-mounted removable hard drive.

Since Panasonic claims that the Toughbook CF-52 is ideal as a desktop replacement, they placed an Intel Santa Rosa chipset on the notebook to ensure that users will be able to perform their computer-related tasks at home on their Toughbook CF-52 while on the go. Users can choose between standard or optimized configuration, the standard configuration comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz processor while the optimized configuration comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz processor. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-52 is also equipped with a 1 GB DDR2 memory so users can be ensured of fast boot-up time and computer response.

The most notable new feature of the Toughbook CF-52 is the optional integrated mobile broadband (WWAN), users can connect to 3G/HSDPA networks so that they can browse the internet even without a hotspot. The Toughbook CF-52 also has an integrated Wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity so you can have your own choice of connection. The expansion slot integrated into the Toughbook CF-52 are PC Card Type II, SD card, and Express card, the Toughbook CF-52 also has a DVD Multi-drive.

The Toughbook CF-52, aside from delivering superior computing power and durability also offers consumers ample security so that they can safeguard their most confidential data. The Toughbook CF-52 is equipped with the Trusted Platform Module Security Chip, Computrace software agent embedded in the BIOS, and an optional fingerprint scanner and SmartCard reader.

The Toughbook CF-52 has once again proven that notebook PCs aren't a fragile piece of technology, they can be just as reliable as your desktop PC.

Nokia Europe has just announced the Global debut of the Nokia N95 8GB. Nokia stated that the Nokia N95 8GB has already started shipping and may soon hit stores near you. Since The Nokia N95 8GB has already been approved by the FCC, we can only wait until a wireless carrier will announce that they will carry it--hopefully, nonexclusive.

The Nokia N95 8GB is just an updated version of the current Nokia N95 model no major changes, really. The Sony Ericsson MBS-100 Portable Bluetooth Speaker only weighs 225g and comes with a carrying case to protect it from scratches. Motorola Razr2 v8 Special Edition

Well, I guess it's the week of special editions. If Samsung has their Special Edition B'Phone, Motorola is not far behind with their Special Edition Razr2 V8 phone or Razr2 V8 luxury edition. The new Razr2 V8 Special Edition sports 18k gold-plated accents and black slate metal finish. Motorola embossed the Razr 2 V8's soft-touch back with snake skin texture, and there's an engraved diamond-cut pattern on the sideband and linear etching on the navigation wheel not previously found in the regular Razr2 V8.

It seems that this special edition of the Razr2 V8 is only special design-wise since there's nothing new with regards to the phone's specifications. Oh, and they included a Motorola H608 Bluetooth headset also with 18k gold-plated accents with your purchase of the Razr2 v8 special Edition. Motorola didn't announce any pricing but expect it to be ridiculously high. According to Motorola, the Razr2 v8 special Edition will be available at the start of the fourth quarter of 2007 but only in selected regions, so don't hold your breath.

Website Review: Incparadise.com

As a CPA, I know for a fact that starting your own business is not as simple as thinking up of a corporate name and starting your business activities. There are certain forms to fill up and government requirements to meet such as registering your corporation. When registering your corporation you need to have by-laws, pre-incorporation agreement, and records of your first meeting of your board of directors. If you’re only a sole proprietor, don’t be surprised if when audited by the IRS, they require you to produce company minutes because they do require it.

The tasks seem daunting but there are certain companies that will help in starting up your own business. Incparadise.com for example, offers free corporate forms on their website or if it is still complicated for you, they can prepare the whole set of documents for only $20-$25. They also offer a corporate kit consisting of a binder to keep your corporate forms, 20 corporate stock certificates, by-laws, minutes, sample forms, stock ledger, and embossing seal. Incparadise.com can help small business owners to start their companies, and if you’re new to the business scene, they have a frequently asked questions page that can answer all your queries regarding corporations.

However, if you don't want to spend that kind of money, you can always try Google or visit forums and ask people who have had experienced setting up their own corporation. In my experience, you can get a lot of information from business related forums, and it's all free.

The B Phone from Samsung

Samsung will soon release a special edition Upstage SPH-M620 phone dubbed as the Beyonce Special Edition B'Phone. Nothing really new about the B'Phone except it has burgundy and gold colors. It still has the dual-sided design of the Samsung Upstage SPH-M620: One side phone, one side MP3 player. The Beyonce Special Edition B'Phone (Upstage SPH-M620) will be exclusive to Sprint Mobile Broadband Network.

Other Features of the B Phone (UPstage SPH-M620) include: 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth that supports stereo profile, External MicroSD card slot, and extended battery wallet (also in burgundy and gold). According to Samsung, the B Phone will be available in limited quantities starting November 4.

W910 Walkman and K850 Cyber-Shot Phones from Sony

As the Holidays near expect more phones to be released these upcoming months but unless they could somehow put the microwave unto your cell phone, also expect that there would be nothing new about these phones except some "proprietary" technology which usually means just a change of name for something as mundane as how the phone displays track list.

Anyways, a new Walkman (W910) and Cyber-Shot (K850) phone from Sony looks a little bit pretty. The Walkman W910 really doesn't offer much technology wise except if you feel like you really need your phone to sense what mood you're in so that it can match the songs that it will play which is what the "SenseMe" technology is about. As if getting dumped by your girlfriend/boyfriend isn't bad enough, your phone can now have the capabilities of torturing you by playing your song. Yes, that's exactly what I need, Sony!

The Cyber-Shot K850 phone also doesn't have new technology to boast about. The Cyber-Shot K850 has 5 mega pixel camera, auto focus, and loads of other stuff to keep you from having your fingers get in on every shot.

Both phones will be available in October.

Sony Unveils Blu-Ray Disc Writer Drive

Sony has just announced their 2nd generation Blu-ray Disc internal writer drive. The Sony BWU-200S has 4x BD-R and 16x DVD+/-R recording speeds.

The BWU-200S internal Blu-ray disc writer drive has a serial ATA (SATA) interface and 5.25 inch form factor. Other supported recording formats include standard single layer 4.7GB DVD+R/+RW/RAM discs, 8.5GB DVD+R double/dual layer discs, and CDs. The BWU-200S is a step up from the previous first generation model as it cuts DVD burning speeds to 45 minutes. The Sony BWU-200S will be available next month at Sonystyle stores for $600.

I really think that Blu-ray will win the format wars, I mean think about it, would you rather say, I'll just burn these on my...BD Writer or HD-DVD writer? BD writer just takes less saliva.

Alternative Method of Losing Weight

In the US alone more than half the population is overweight. There are a lot of options for weight loss; dieting, exercising, diet pills, calorie counting, and if none of these methods work, the last option is surgery. Surgical methods for losing weight could range from liposuction to tummy tucking, but the latest in obesity surgery is Lap-band or Laparoscopic Adjustable Banding. Lap-Band is a silicone band with an adjustable balloon covering its inner surface. The Lap-Band is placed on the upper portion of the stomach where food can pass through a narrow opening. A port is placed under the abdominal skin, and is connected to the Lap-Band by a small tube.

Lap-Band is the safest method in obesity surgery and is completely reversible and adjustable for life, unlike gastric bypass surgery. So if you ever feel like there's no hope in losing weight, try Lap-band surgery.

The HTC Hermes (AT&T 8525): The Perfect Mobile Phone for Businessmen on the Go

By: Philip Silva

The HTC Hermes also known here as AT&T 8525 is my trusty Pocket PC phone that I got while traveling abroad and thus, thankfully, unlocked. I fell in love with the AT&T 8525 not because of its looks coz let's face it, when compared to the iPhone, the 8525 is like Ugly Betty that had one too many Big Macs, but rather I fell in love with the features. The AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) is UMTS / HSDPA compatible which is beyond 3G and I would delve into that topic much more later. The AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes)is also Wi-Fi compatible, has micro SD expansion slot, 400 MHz processor, 128 MB of ROM with 64MB of RAM, Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Edition, has Bluetooth 2.0 and a 2 megapixel camera which unlike the iPhone, can actually record videos. Most of all the AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes)has a Pocket Office Suite included that lets me edit Word and Excel files and view PowerPoint Presentations. You can also add other third party applications that would further juice this baby up.

Form Factor

Like I said, the AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) cannot hold a candle to the iPhone when it comes to looks. It's a lot more bulky and heavier, weighing in at 6.2 ounces. But it has a nice polished look to it and has a 2.8 inch screen that has a standard 320 x 240 resolution. Although the screen is standard to any pocket pc, it does deliver bright and sharp images. Oh, I forgot to mention that the AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) has a touch screen although I don't recommended doing any finger swiping on the phone since that's what the stylus is for. However, you don't have to always take out the stylus since the phone has a handy scroll wheel like that of the Blackberry that allows you to scroll through menus and press it to select items. At the bottom of the AT&T 8525's screen are two soft keys, the call and end button and the start button that lets you easily access the start menu as well as the ok button to easily close a window. In the middle of these buttons is a five-way toggle button.

What's very cool about the AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) is that when you slide the screen, you will see a full QWERTY keyboard, perfect for typing emails or editing documents on the go. The QWERTY keyboard is okay since it has large, tactile buttons which is very easy to use.

What I like

For me, I think the best thing about the HTC Hermes is that this is a UMTS / HSDPA phone. HSDPA is a 3.5G technology, the successor of 3G. Although that feature is pretty much rendered useless because carriers here in the US is still not delving into the 3G technology, I was able to make full use of these features when I traveled to Asia which surprisingly, has much more advanced 3G technology than in the US. HSDPA brings high speed internet access to your phone that is perfect for video streaming, video calling or accessing the internet through the phone. Although some might say why the need for HSDPA when you have WiFi, it's still nice to know that you can always be connected even if you're nowhere near a hotspot.

The Microsoft Office Mobile Suit is very useful specially for editing Word and Excel documents. I don't like lugging a laptop with me when traveling so the HTC Hermes is perfect for me as it allows me to easily make articles for Associated Content when inspiration strikes. The HTC Hermes also has the Mobile Outlook which is very useful for businessmen who wants to check their corporate emails. The HTC Hermes supports A2DP Bluetooth profile that allows me to use stereo headsets.

The 2 megapixel camera can capture clear and crisp images which was kind of a surprise as camera quality from HTC phones usually sucks. It has a self-portrait mirror and, a flash as well as a switch near the camera lens to change from macro to portrait mode.

I was able to download several useful applications for the HTC Hermes that lets me use the phone's full capabilities. Video playback on the Hermes is superb as I was able to download a useful app that lets me watch Divx and Xvid movies.

What I hate

I guess what I really hate about the AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) is its operating system. I sort of have a love-hate relationship with Windows Mobile. I love how there are so many third party applications out there for the Windows Mobile and that, given an intelligent programmer, virtually any PC application can be ported to the Windows Mobile operating system. But I hate the fact that from PC to Mobile, Windows will always have an unstable operating system. Rest assured that you will find yourself resetting the phone because it hangs on you, much like an ordinary Windows PC.

The Built-in WiFi connectivity also takes a long time to get a WiFi signal, plus I'm a really heavy user of the phone and I always find myself recharging every night. However, when I don't use the phone at all, the battery usually last up to 3 days. What I really don't get about this phone is its use of a mini USB headphone. There's only one USB connector so I can't really charge and put on the headphones at the same time, I think that's one of the real downside of this PDA. Another downside is the memory. Like I said, I'm really a big user of third party applications and sometimes I have a lot of open applications in the background and as memory is only 64MB, the HTC Hermes' performance is usually affected.

Bottom Line

The HTC Hermes is a featured pack PDA phone. If don't mind lugging a bulkier phone than the iPhone and you're a businessman on the go, the HTC Hermes (AT&T 8525) is the best phone to meet your needs.

Let Your Child Score High on their Math Tests with Math Tutors

Having both parents work could take a toll on a child's education. Grade schoolers specially needs attention and supervision when they're doing their homework but if both parents are working, they're probably too tired to give their children adequate attention on their school work. Math is usually a very hard subject for grade schoolers, though I personally haven't had a problem with Math but my younger brother did. My mom had a hard time finding Math Tutors for my brother, she wanted a professional since she wants my younger brother to learn, it was a good thing she found someone she knew who could do it. That was five years ago.

Good math tutors are hard to come by, my mom was one of the lucky ones but if she had known about the Score! Educational centers, she would have went to them. Score! takes a hands-on approach to tutoring and their programs is specially designed so that students can succeed. Your child's education should always be a priority and if you're not there to help, hire the next best thing--Score!

Verizon Wireless Unleashes the Samsung Gleam

Hot on the path of its recent announcement of their Holiday phones, Verizon Wireless has unveiled another new mobile phone, the Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700). The Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700) is a clamshell phone with a metallic bronze and black housing. The Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700)features a living wallpaper which changes with the time of day. The Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700)also sports a 240 x 320 pixel internal display and 96 x 96 pixel external display, 2 mega pixel built-in digital camera with recording capabilities and Bluetooth with stereo headset profile. Battery life of the Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700)can last up to 3.5 hours of talk time and 250 hours of stand-by time.

Another nice looking phone from Samsung. My only reservations about the Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700) is that it doesn't have FM radio and embedded Java Games, and no document viewer. Basically, the Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700) is just a basic phone with good looks. The Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700)works on Verizon's EvDO networks so it should work with Verizon's V Cast services.

Is it just me or does the Samsung Gleam look kinda like the Nokia 6555? Jeez, the more phones these companies churn out, the less innovative their designs are. The Samsung Gleam (SCH-U700) is now available a Verizon Wireless for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Why you need appropriate garage lighting

People usually ignore putting up appropriate garage lighting in their homes since the garage isn't the most visited place in their house. However, most people use their garage as store rooms, work rooms, or they do some minor car repairs in their house and in order to do these things, a lot of light is needed. Fluorescent lights should be the safest bet, it provides appropriate lighting and is energy efficient unlike incandescent bulbs.
