Optimizing your Website

Okay, so a lot of you would probably notice that my blog is only around more than six months old and yet it’s already a PR4. I know a PR4 is not something to boast about since I’ve read somewhere that someone got a PR5 in 90 days. The secret as many of you would know is SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Search Engine Optimization is prepping your website/blog so that it is search engine friendly, meaning; it would be on pages one or two when people search for your chosen keywords. Search Engine Optimization involves search engine marketing and it’s no easy task. I just did all the SEO tips on the web that I could find and could actually do. Do the tips work? I guess they do, I mean, I have a PR4, right?

A lot of tips on how to optimize your website are very useful but if you have an online business or you have big plans for your website, I wouldn’t recommend optimizing your website yourself unless you’re an expert on SEO, leave it to a search engine marketing agency. There are a lot of companies on the web that offer search engine marketing and their services usually include SEO, landing page development, website analytics, etc. Though I don’t really know which ones work since I haven’t tried one yet (Hey, this is just a blog, it’s not like I’m competing against CNET or something), search engine marketing would help you boost traffic to you site rather than going at it yourself.
