Asus B51: Tough Notebook for businessmen

For people who’re always on the go and don’t want the hassle of always having to worry about their laptops, Asus came up with the Asus B51 notebook. A rugged notebook that is designed and built to withstand any hazards that goes with always traveling with a laptop.


The Asus B51 has a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis that safeguards the internal components of the laptop. Along with the rubber bumpers on the edges and protective film, the Asus B51 is safely buffered from any shock and scratches. According to Asus, the Asus B51 was drop tested to military specifications and can withstand drops from up to 75 cm.


Other safety features on the Asus B51, aside from its ruggedized design is the B51’s hard drive which is floated on a sponge protection system. The Asus B51’s keyboard has a drainage path so that it can withstand spills up to 120cc.

Of course, the Asus B51 is more than safety features. It is equipped with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo technology and has the Mobile Intel GM965 Chipset, Intel Pro Wireless ABG/4965ABGN Network connection, DDR2 667MHz Ram expandable up to 4GB, Sata hard disk drive, optional 1.3 megapixel webcam, and optional Bluetooth 2.0.
