Sony Ericsson EC400g Mobile Broadband GPS ExpressCard

For those looking for a 3G capable aircard or Mobile Broadband ExpressCard with built-in GPS, you might want to take a look at the Sony Ericsson EC400g. Most aircard available in the market are only compatible with PCMCIA Type II slot and we all know that almost all new laptops did away with their PCMCIA Type II slot for the ExpresssCard slot so the Sony Ericsson EC400g will be amongst the few 3G aircard that is compatible with ExpressCard slots.

The Sony Ericsson EC400g is compatible with HSPA/UMTS 850/1900/2100 MHz or 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks. If you're connected to a HSPA network the Sony Ericsson EC400g will allow you to connect to the internet at 7.2 Mb/s in download and 2.0 Mb/s in upload speeds. Plus, the Sony Ericsson EC400g has a built-in GPS so whenever you're in a new city, you can just connect to Google Maps without looking for a WiFi signal or you can buy Garmin's navigation software for laptop.

The Sony Ericsson EC400g will be available starting the middle of 2008. No word as to pricing yet.
