The first steps in becoming a plumber in the UK is enroll in Avand's 6129 course which will teach you the basic of plumbing. Throughout the course, you will learn plumbing basics such as cutting and bending copper tubes until you have the skills required to install Hot and cold water systems, Bathroom suites, and leadworking and fault diagnosis.

If you already have basic plumbing knowledge and have been doing some DIY plumbing work, you may opt to enroll in Avand's 4 week course wherein you can obtain the following certifications: BPEC Water Reguations, City & Guilds 6032 Domestic copper pipe installation and sanitary ware installation, Energy Efficiency Certificate, or a BPEC Unvented Hot water Certificate.
