Only a few more weeks to go before black friday and the shopping season will officially start. This is probably the best time for you to buy that gadget you have your eye on. Black Friday is what people usually call the day after Thanksgiving which marks the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. During this day, retailers often open at 5 a.m. and offer big discounts to draw people to their stores…and they do give BIG discounts. Since retailers usually give doorbuster deals (items being sold for free or a very LOW price), expect people to be lined up very early, overcrowded stores and bumper-to-bumper traffic on Black Friday. Retailers usually don’t announce their Black Friday ads until you see them in your Thanksgiving Day newspaper so a lot of people miss the big sale.

A few website offers info about a retailers’ Black Friday ads so people can plan their whole shopping list before going to the store. Black-Friday.net is one such site, they can give you email alerts when a retailer has posted their Black Friday ad. And if you’re one of those persons who hate waiting in line, the site also lets you purchase Black Friday items online so you won’t have to wake up at 5am to stand in line. The site already posted the Ace Hardware Black Friday Ad. One good deal on Ace Hardware’s Ad is the 7” digital photo frame. Ace Hardware will sell their 7” digital photo frame on Black Friday for only $49.99, more than $8 off the retail price.

And if you’re still not convinced that Black Friday is the best day to shop for great deals, last year, I got a laptop for only $199, more than $400 off its retail price at COMPUSA.
